What are the Cases
The Cases of LEX PRO are the digital files in which you collect everything related to a case: identification data, parties involved, events, notes, attachments and ministerial data.
Create a new Case
Tap the + button in the Cases section or use the "New Case" button on the Today screen. Fill in the main fields:
- Title — the name of the file (e.g. “Reds vs Whites”)
- Internal number — your internal reference
- Forum — the competent court
- Section — the court section
- NRG — the General Register Number with the year (e.g. "1234/2024")
Parts of the practice
In the details of a practice you will find four main areas:
Customers and Counterparties
Add the subjects involved by selecting them from the contacts address book or creating new ones at the moment. The practice distinguishes between Customers (your clients) and Counterparties (the opposing parties).
Events
Each Case shows the list of events related to it — hearings, obligations, communications — in chronological order. You can create new events directly from the practice; the link is set automatically.
Notes
A free text area to write down any information on the case: strategies, chronology of facts, regulatory references and any useful notes.
Attachments (Premium)
With LEX Premium you can attach documents, photos, audio recordings and handwritten notes directly to the file. See the tutorial dedicated to the Attachments for details.
Synchronization with the Ministry of Justice (Italy only)
If you have set Forum, and NRG, you can synchronize the practice with the Telematic Services Portal (PST) of the Ministry of Justice. Synchronization automatically retrieves updated process data and adds it as synchronized events to the calendar.
You can enable automatic synchronization from the Practical Settings.
Protection of sensitive Cases
Puoi marcare una pratica come sensibile: l’app richiederà Face ID o Touch ID per aprirla, proteggendo i dati riservati da sguardi indiscreti.
Search and sorting
In the list of practices you can search by title or internal number. Practices can be sorted by title, internal number or date (ascending or descending). On iPad and Mac, a grid view is available to browse multiple files at the same time.
Favorites and sharing
Tap the star on a practice to add it to favorites. With Premium, you can share a case with colleagues through iCloud, keeping your data up to date on all your devices.
